Counterparty Onboarding and Periodic Refresh; Supervisory Controls for Single Stock Futures

FIF has scheduled a call for the Compliance and Surveillance Working Group for Monday August 17 at 1 pm ET. The Working Group will discuss creating a contact list (similar to the CAT Contact List) to assist broker-dealers with onboarding broker-dealer counterparties and conducting periodic refresh processes with broker-dealer counterparties. The Working Group will also discuss challenges with implementing supervisory controls for single stock futures.

Order Protection Rule

FIF has scheduled a call for the Equity Market Regulations Working Group for Monday August 17 at 3 pm ET. The Working Group will discuss final proposed changes to the FIF comment letter on the SEC rule proposal to rescind the order protection rule and the Reg NMS provisions relating to locking and crossing of quotations.

CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups

FIF has scheduled a joint call for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups for Wednesday August 19 at 2 pm ET. The Working Groups will discuss a revised draft FIF letter to CAT LLC, FINRA and FINRA CAT relating to changes to reporting of the tradingSession field in connection with the planned expansion of exchange trading hours. The Working Groups will also discuss recent documentation updates from FINRA CAT.
