Rule 605 Working Group

The next call for the Rule 605 Working Group will be on Tuesday March 11 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will review a draft letter to the SEC to request an extension of the implementation date for the amendments to Rule 605 adopted by the SEC in 2024. The Working Group will also discuss a draft customer disclosure relating to the new Rule 605 summary report.

Removal of PII from CAT

FIF has scheduled a joint call for the CAT CAIS and CAT Transaction Reporting Working Groups for Wednesday March 12 at 11 am ET to continue the discussion of the removal of PII from CAT and the need to retire EBS.

CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group

The CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group will have its next call on Wednesday March 12 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will continue its discussion of a revised draft request for exemption relating to the CAT reporting of port settings. The Working Group will also discuss representative order linkage, potential strategies to address CAT costs, and feedback from FINRA CAT in response to recent FIF comments and questions.

The Working Group will continue its discussion of issues and recommendations for FIF to raise with the incoming SEC Chair during 2025.
