The CAT Monthly Update Working Group call for January will be on Thursday January 9 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will review guidance and updates from the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT on CAT Transaction Reporting, CAT CAIS and CAT billing during the prior month. The Working Group will also review the current areas of focus for FIF members and the current open issues for CAT Transaction Reporting, CAT CAIS reporting and CAT billing.

On December 9, FIF submitted a request to the SEC to extend for six months the current exemptive relief relating to representative order linkage. FIF would like to thank the members of the CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of this exemption request.

FIF has scheduled the next call for the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group for Monday December 16 at 11 am ET. The Working Group will continue its discussion of the implementation of reporting non-centrally cleared bilateral repos.

FIF has scheduled a call for the Short Sales / Reg SHO / Short Reporting Working Group for Tuesday December 17 at 10 am ET. The Working Group will discuss the December 16 updates to the Technical Specification and other technical documentation for short position reporting.

The Front Office Committee will have its next call on Tuesday December 17 at 11 am ET to review applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges. FIF will review the SEC’s recent approval of 24X Exchange to operate as an exchange. FIF has prepared an outline of the SEC’s approval, which will be reviewed during the Working Group call.
